Christmas in Nebraska

We traveled to Nebraska for Christmas this year to surprise Grandma Knapp. It worked out beautifully-
Mom Knapp almost had a heart-attack from the shock and the boys did beautifully in on the 12 hour card ride.
More pics to come. For now, - Jackson prepping himself for a White Christmas and some crazy magical ice trees we saw close to Omaha.

4 days till Christmas....

This is Jackson saying "Sno-man"

As this is the first time Jackson has set Christmas aside as something more extra-ordinary than any ol' Tuesday of the year,... he's picking up on a variety of things.

"Wook-at-da-wites!" has become a common phrase used while driving from point a to point b in any given day-- His eye has become ever watchful of houses with lights, Snowmen (his favorite) and our dear "Sane-sick" -- aka: saint Nick.

The boys have also taken up christmas carolling- as is tradition in the Garnett/ Lordi Christmas eve tradition. (We're with you in spirit-- and we're not missin a beat!)

Christmas Faux-tos

Brian wanted these to go out on glossy paper as our christmas greeting cards.

Genuinely scary.
Genuinely.

Merry Christmas from Emerson

Sarah made the boys these aprons... such a rock-star idea for Christmas. Em sports his soon-to-be cooking skills

New "environments" Jackson has discovered

a) the dryer
b) the bath-tub ... with clothes on

And yes, ... the binky still remains in the family.

Dec 1st. Blizzard

Em's impression of our first snow....
10-16in' forecast. Huddle up... we're in it for the long haul.... and, breaking news just in... Em is on his last diaper.

Uncle Dan

The Knapp household greatly loved Uncle Dan's visit. It's a wonder that he got any rest in at all with tickle wars to be had, closets to be worked on, slides to go down, dishes to be cleaned and sisters to hug.

Thanksgiving Day

Brian broke in the new smoker with our Thanksgiving Turkey... after a long awaited product, the Thanksgiving Day parade, and an entire run thru of National Lampoons Christmas Vacation... we ate bird.
We had great company on Thanksgiving day with Daniel, Aaron, Sheila, Brian, myself and the boys. A refreshing walk downtown led to other more calming events... (snore...snore)
