Ode to "New Clipper" set
My friend Kelly told me that a haircut she gave Glendon just kept getting shorter and shorter with no apparent reason or ending in site. I've experienced that very phenomenon this morning. Here is Jackson- our militant summer rugrat.
In addition to our out-door haircut (did it on garbage day so he could eat trailmix and watch with anticipation for the "BIG TRUCK" to come by and pick up our trash. He was enthralled by the size of it. Makes for easy and quick hair cuts-- though, accurate is a bit of a different story.) We also tried our hand at coloring again.
Step 1) Dump out ALL the crayons.
Step 2) Grab a handful of them in your left hand
Step 3) Draw with the one in your right hand
He's partial to pinks and reds right now. Here are pics of the passionate artist at work.

This and That
Some random photos of the boys:
There's no way around it: Jackson is fat. Lot's of people say "Solid" -- it's so much more of a compliment that way. I don't mind that he's a chunker. More of him to love. Check out the pic of Jackson getting attacked by the grape jelly. One of my favorites. The Jelly grabbed hold of his nose, and wouldn't let go. Stubborn little guy.
Emerson was amused.
Excited about an upcoming road trip to Lincoln. Leave on Friday. I'm sure we'll have pics to follow.

Can you guess what we did yesterday?
Jackson is an oatmeal head fanatic. We made delectable oatmeal cookies yesterday-- and I know that sugar is like the devil for a 20 mo old kid, but for my own selfish entertainment I wanted to see him tear into this spoon.
Hopefully, you all get as much pleasure out of me spooning sugar into my childs mouth!

It's Friday Night... and I feel alright!
Date night recently! Who posts their date nights you might ask???? Well, since it's been the absolute saving grace of my life this week to hang out with my BFF- and not have to discipline children - or wipe of any excess drewl, puke, pee, or dumple-dorf... I'm ecstatic.
Bri and I had a fantastic time- went to Potawatomi- and the movies with our "earnings"- (if you can call it that)
Seriously, you should have seen us staring blankly at all the slot machines- not having a clue what to do... picture- like 83 year old drivers without their glasses peering over the steering wheel. That was us- trying to figure out how to work a slot machine. HIlarious. And definitely not our "high roller" scene. But fun to change it up a bit and try something new. I got to wear my fabulour new earrings at least!
Pancake Party 2006
Success! Our neighborhood Pancake Party landed 50 or so of our neighbors! It was a pantastic good time!
Kids of all ages, sizes and color from 5 months to 81, black, white, hispanic!
Seen here in these pics: Tracey playing with Sophia (12 mo) SIde walk chalk.
Harold Angel (yes, that is really his name) was our first show. And Chloe (Jackson's BFF) eating cakes hot off the skillet.
All in all, we had great conversations, and loads of fun!
More pics to come.
